Poker has become world famous lately, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years numerous types on the first poker game have been created, including a few games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to twenty-one than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the dealer instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or different types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the dealer announcing "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the house and of course every one of the different gamblers receive 5 cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s first card, you need to either make a call bet or accede. The call wager’s amount is akin to your original bet, which means that the stakes will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your ante goes instantly to the dealer. After the bet is the showdown. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, plus a sum in accordance with the initial wager. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The house pony’s up cash equal to your initial bet and fixed expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
