Howard Lederer grew up in a family of five where he loved playing different card games at a young age. The Mayfair was a bridge and backgammon association where the the most favorable gamblers would frequently challenge one another. He had access into some of the best players in chess. He told Annie to head out to Vegas and play in the World Series of Poker competition. She is one of the strongest female players the poker world today. Howard headed to Sin City in 1993 and competed in money games for the successive 10 years. When the World Poker Tournament gained popularity, he made the decision to play more tournaments.
