Double-hand Poker is a modern game with ancient ancestry. Founded on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the eastern with the western in an awesome game for new players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player versus the croupier, unlike the majority of other poker games that gamblers compete with other gamblers. By wagering against the dealer, beginning players do not have to worry about any other, more knowledgeable gamblers winning their money.

An additional Pai Gow benefit is the generally slow game pace, rookies should be able to take their time and strategize without having to make hasty selections.

It is also easier to participate in for an extended time with only a small amount of cash seeing as, to lose, each of your hands has to be under both of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card common deck and one joker. The player is assigned seven cards faces showing and the casino receives 7 cards faces hidden.

One five card hand and one two card hand must be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand has to be stronger than the two card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be larger than the casino’s.
