Internet poker has become globally famous as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its television scores. Over the years numerous types on the earliest poker game have been developed, including some games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to vingt-et-un than old guard poker, in that the gamblers bet against the house rather than each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or other kinds of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the croupier broadcasting "No further bets." At that moment, both you and the house and of course every one of the other players acquire five cards. After you have looked at your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you need to either make a call bet or accede. The call bet’s amount is akin to your original wager, which means that the stakes will have doubled. Bowing out means that your wager goes instantaneously to the casino. After the bet is the showdown. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, with a sum equal to the initial bet. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The casino pays out chips even with your initial bet and set odds on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
