Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient ancestry. Founded on the old Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the east with the west in an excellent game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler versus the dealer, not like nearly all other poker games that players bet with other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, beginning players do not need to worry about other, more knowledgeable players taking their cash.

A further Pai Gow advantage is the relatively slow game play, novices are able to take their time and plan while not needing to make quick decisions.

It is also much simpler to gamble on for a long time with only a tiny amount of money after all, to not win, each of your hands has to be lower than each of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The gambler is dealt seven cards faces showing and the house gets 7 cards face down.

One five card hand and one two card hand have to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand has to be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the houses.
