Internet poker has become world famous as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years several variants on the first poker game have been developed, including some games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to blackjack than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the dealer instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little conniving or different kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up prior to the croupier saying "No further bets." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the different gamblers receive 5 cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the bank’s initial card, you must in turn make a call wager or bow out. The call wager’s amount is akin to your beginning ante, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your wager goes instantly to the bank. After the wager comes the conclusion. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, including an amount equal to the ante. If the casino does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The casino pays out cash even with your ante and set odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
