Online poker has become world famous lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its television scores. Over the years several variations on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the players bet against the bank instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little conniving or other kinds of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the dealer saying "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different gamblers receive five cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the bank’s initial card, you have to either make a call wager or surrender. The call bet’s value is on same level to your original wager, indicating that the risks will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your ante goes directly to the dealer. After the bet comes the face off. If the house does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, plus a figure in accordance with the initial bet. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The house pony’s up money even with your initial bet and controlled odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
